Father's Day is Saturday, June 16, 2024. If you haven't made your plans to celebrate the dads, uncles, grandfathers, all the favorite guys in your life ... then here are a few of our favorite ideas!
---------------
1. Spoil him with Breakfast in Bed - This tradition isn't just for Mother's Day! Whether you make a gourmet breakfast or pick up coffee & a breakfast burrito from your local coffee shop - letting Dad sleep in and surprising him with breakfast in bed is a great way to kick off the day.
2. Take a Trip to Mars - This out-of-the-box idea is a great way to celebrate Dad whether you're celebrating together or from afar. Access Mars, a project by Google and NASA, allows you to take a virtual walk on Mars with 360-views!
3. Tackle a Hands-On Task - Nothing feels better than crossing a big-project off his honey-do list. Grab all the tools and block the afternoon for the whole family to help tackle a project that's been on his to-do-list for awhile.
4. Do a blindfolded beer taste-test - Head to your local grocery or liquor store and grab 5-6 kinds of beer, or drinks of your choice! Blindfold Dad and see if he can guess which one is which. Fun way to celebrate with adult kids too!
5. Host a Cookout - Gather family and friends for a fun, good old-fashioned cookout. Whether you keep it simple with hotdogs & burgers, or have all the smokers going with bbq - it'll be a fun way to spend the day all together.
6. Take Him Shopping - When's the last time Dad got a new outfit? Or maybe there's something on his wishlist? Spend the day visiting a few great shops to freshen up his closet. Guaranteed to make him feel loved!
7. Make a Time Capsule - Dig a hole in the backyard and have the kids help Dad gather a newspaper, letters, any little toys / things you'd want to put in a time capsule. Will be so fun to dig it up in 5-10+ years!
8. Send Him Golfing - If he's the golfing type, chances are he's already planning on spending Father's Day on the golf-course. Mini put-put with the whole family is fun too!!
9. Go on a Bike Ride- It sounds so simple, but sometimes the easiest things make the biggest impact. Carve out time for a family bike ride - bonus if you stop for ice cream or slushies before or after!
10. Tell him how much You Love Him - Whether you tell him in person, or write out a thoughtful note in a card, take the time to tell him how much you love him this Father's Day. It'll make his whole day.
